we are not in France any more, and we are not planning on going any time soon, how can we get our reimbursement?

my mom and I were affected by the problems due to the lorry fire in the eurotunel saturday 17, we were supposed to be back in Lille, France sunday 18th, but the train was suspended until next day, i contacted Eurostar personnel an they told me that i should claim you for the reimbursement of 50% of the ticket at the point of sale, but we are not in France any more, and we are not planning on going any time soon, how can we get our reimbursement?
