How can I get my money back from a ticket with an incorrect date which never used?

Bonjour, I bought in Paris an Eurial Pass reservation ticket to go from Florence to Milano the 29 of July but when i was already in Italy I noticed the date was incorrect (it was made for July 21) so I had to buy another ticket . The train office in Italy marked my ticket as "unused" and suggested me to ask for my money back with SNCF.
