TSYHCD - Wrongly booked - Was trying to book for 9 June 2017 but due to DDMM format it got booked on 6 Sep

Hi, I am Shantanu Chatterjee, a UK based tourist who visited Switzerland and Paris between 8-11 June 2017. Part of my travel plan was a train journey from Paris to Zurich on 9 June 2017. While I was trying to book the train from TGV Site where I did put the date as 9 June 2017 and when it transferred me to the SNCF site the date got interpreted as 6 Sep (9/6 to 6/9 - DDMM to MMDD date format). I realized it after the booking was done - FILE REF TSYHCD. This was for travel for 3 person (myself, my wife Sudipta Moitra and my son Spandan Chatterjee)

As I was not able to connect with SNCF from London I purchased another fresh ticket for 9th June (FILE REF TBDYNN) and as you see this was done in the name of same travellers (myself and my family) and we enjoyed the journey on 9th June from Paris to Zurich.

During my stay in Paris I reached your office to explain this situation and help me with the refund on the non-refundable ticket wrongly booked for 6th Sep (TSYHCD) and help with a refund with the background reason as I explained. They suggested me to raise this in this forum and expect a reply.

Please do the needful.

Bonjour,

You will have to cancel not useful tickets, but it will be for no refund.

Than, you will be allowed to write a claim to service clientele sncf - 62973 Arras cedex 9 - France with original tickets :

  • used ones on june 9th
  • booked ones for sept 6th if you withdrew them

and a letter (in French or English/French) to explain the situation.
Join a document to receive a credit (IBAN)

Don't forget the name and code (TSYHCD)

Your tickets being not refundable, ask for an answer in the spirit of fair training.

Keep copies.
